デザインの起点｜プロポーションから考える

ECHO LAMP や MINUET LAMP など、rove troupe のランプは、シェード径をやや大きめに設計しています。

そのサイズ感に対して、既存のベースではバランスが取りづらい場面がありました。

ランプの印象を崩さず、自然な重心で支えること。そのためのベースとして、rove troupe のランプに合わせて CROSS BASE を デザインしています。

 

Design Origin | Designed from Proportion

ROVE TROUPE lamps such as ECHO LAMP and MINUET LAMP are designed with slightly larger shade diameters.

With these proportions in mind, conventional bases can sometimes feel visually unbalanced.

CROSS BASE was designed specifically to support our lamps with a natural center of gravity, while preserving their intended proportions.

構造｜シンプルな幾何で支える

CROSS BASE は、開いた十字形の構造を採用しています。装飾的な要素は加えず、必要な形だけで支えを成立させています。

安定性 展開時のベース直径は約 110mm。高さ約 120mm の支柱と組み合わせることで、大径シェードでも安定した設置が可能です。

軽量性 オールメタル構造でありながら、重量は約 45g。見た目の安定感を保ちつつ、テーブル上では重くなりすぎない印象に収まります。

 

Structure | Stability Through Simple Geometry

CROSS BASE uses an open cross structure to achieve stability with minimal geometry.

With an expanded base diameter of approximately 11 cm and a height of 12 cm, it provides stable support for large-diameter shades.

Despite its all-metal construction, the total weight is only about 45 g, maintaining a light visual presence on the table.

加工と仕上げ｜CNC による精度 

構造の精度とラインの明確さを保つため、本体はアルミ合金を CNC 加工で製作しています。

表面はサンドブラスト後、アルマイト処理を施し、落ち着いたマットな質感に仕上げました。各パーツの噛み合わせやネジ接合も、構造が自然に伝わるよう整理しています。

 

Manufacturing | CNC Precision

To maintain precise proportions and clean lines, CROSS BASE is CNC-machined from aluminum alloy.

A sandblasted and anodized finish gives the surface a calm, matte appearance. The joints and threaded connections are kept simple, allowing the structure to remain visually clear.

収納｜使用を想定したデザイン 

日常的に使う道具として、収納時の状態にも配慮しました。

CROSS BASE には専用の収納ポーチを同梱しています。内部に仕切りを設け、持ち運びの際にパーツ同士が擦れにくい構造です。ランプコードや小物類も一緒に収納でき、日常使いの中で柔軟に対応します。

1/4 インチ変換ナットを同梱し、一般的な規格との互換性も確保しています。

 

Storage | Designed for Everyday Use

Because this is a tool intended for regular use, storage was considered as part of the design.

CROSS BASE includes a dedicated pouch with internal dividers to reduce surface wear. It can also accommodate lamp cords and small accessories.

A 1/4-inch adapter nut is included for compatibility with standard mounting systems.

使用シーン｜空間に自然と馴染む

CROSS BASE は、室内・屋外を問わず使用できます。主張しすぎない形と明確なプロポーションが、周囲の空間に自然に馴染みます。
